His final funeral and burial rites will take place at the forecourt of the State House in Ghana on March 17.

Arsenal show their title credentials

Arsenal went down just nine seconds into their game against Bournemouth after Philip Billing opened the scoring for the visitors.

The Cherries doubled their lead after the break after Marcos Senesi capitalised on an uncharacteristic mistake by the Gunners.

Partey responded five minutes later before Ben White levelled for the hosts after connecting from a Reiss Nelson assist.

Nelson went from provider to scorer as he netted late to secure all three points for Arsenal after some anxious moments.

Arteta praises Thomas Partey

Sports Brief also reported on Mikel Arteta praising Partey after he came off the bench to help Arsenal cruise to a win against Everton.

The Ghanaian international replaced Jorginho after 45 minutes with the Gunners leading by two goals at the Emirates Stadium.

However, the league leaders were not entirely convincing as the Toffees had missed many chances that came their way.

Ferdinand settles Partey-Casemiro debate

Sports Brief also reported on ex-England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand stating Casemiro is better than Partey.

The two midfielders have been in the news for all the right reasons, for their starring roles for their respective clubs in the ongoing season.

Fans on social media are divided over who the best defensive midfielder in the EPL is, with Casimero and Partey the top candidates named.
