Arteta reacted to the midfielder's disappointing World Cup but expressed delight in having Partey back.

“He (Thomas Partey) played a lot and he was disappointed by the way he had to leave the World Cup but it happens to every nation that they are out. It takes a few days to reset and to focus on the team,” the Arsenal boss said as quoted by Pulse.
“The good thing we have is that everybody has been showing that they are desperate to get back as quickly as possible. It was really good to have those two back today playing some minutes.”

Partey has been an integral part of Arteta's side as the North London outfit sit top of the English Premier League.

Arsenal is hoping to win the English topflight for the first time in 19 years.

Thomas Partey rejoins Arsenal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has rejoined his Arsenal teammates for mid-season training, ahead of the return of the English Premier League.

The 29-year-old made a short trip to Dubai following Ghana's World Cup elimination, where the North London club are preparing ahead of the resumption of the league.

Partey had a tough tournament as the Black Stars suffered a first-round exit.

Ghanaian fans unhappy with Partey

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey exchanged jerseys with the 'most-hated man' in Ghana Luis Suarez after the game against Uruguay at the World Cup in Qatar.

Suarez inspired Uruguay to another victory against Ghana, with a brace of assists in the 2-0 win over the Black Stars at Al Janoub on Friday.

Despite the hate for Suarez by Ghanaians, Partey was captured swapping jerseys with the former Liverpool player.
