Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah was met by a huge crowd at the Kotoka International Airport, after arriving in Ghana on Tuesday night.
The English-born Ghanaian is in the country for holidays due to the World Cup break.
In a video posted on social media, the player was spotted with the Ghana flag around his neck, while a group of cultural dancers welcomed him with the 'adowa' dance.
Nketiah has been in talks with the Ghana Football Association over a nationality switch, but reportedly decided against going to the World Cup at the eleventh hour.

Having been born in England, Nketiah has played for the youth teams of the Three Lions and holds the record as the top scorer at the U21 level.
However, he remains eligible to represent the Black Stars of Ghana due to his parents, who are both from Ghana.
Although he is not part of Ghana's squad for the World Cup, he could still make a decision on playing for the West African giants.
The Black Stars are in Abu Dhabi preparing for the World Cup, which begins in four days time.
Nketiah close to Ghana switch
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that red-hot Arsenal forward Nketiah could still switch nationality from England to Ghana, before the World Cup in Qatar.

Nketiah signs new Arsenal deal
Sports Brief reported that Nketiah said he had 'unfinished business' at Arsenal, following his five-year contract extension with the Gunners.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, but his performances this year have encouraged the English club to keep hold of him.
Nektiah made 92 first-team appearances and scored 23 goals since his debut in 2017.
