Red-hot Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah is close to sealing his nationality switch from England to Ghana before the World Cup in Qatar.

The 22-year-old has reportedly secured his Ghanaian passport as the move to represent the African giants enters its final stages.

According to 442GH.com, the England U21 all-time top scorer has decided to play for Ghana at international level after receiving his passport.

Nketiah has been in a rich vein of form, leading Arsenal's quest for a good finish in the English Premier League and a place UEFA Champions League next season.

The hardworking forward has scored four goals in his last four matches, including a brace against Chelsea in the London Derby.

He was the hero for Arsenal last Sunday after netting a quick-fire brace in the victory over Leeds United.

Eddie Nketiah leaves door open for Ghana switch

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English-born forward Eddie Nketiah has left his doors opened for a Ghana invite ahead of the FIAF World Cup in Qatar 2022.

The 22-year-old Arsenal forward has represented England at youth levels, and remains the all-time leading scorer for the U21, but he is ready to play for the Black Stars.

In an interview with the Beautiful Game Podcast, Nketiah revealed he is opened to talks with the Ghana Football Association.
