Mesut Ozil’s Agent Blasts Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for Joining Chelsea

Mesut Ozil's agent has slammed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for joining Chelsea despite his Arsenal past.

Aubamenyang joined Chelsea on the final day of the transfer window from Barcelona. He only lasted 6 months in Spain and had to leave following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski.

Dr Erkut Sogut, Ozil's agent, has now questioned Aubameyang's loyalty. Mikel Arteta had frozen out the striker at Arsenal after he was stripped of the club's captaincy.

Sogut has claimed that his client Ozil would never play for another English club because he is not like Auba.

"He could never play for another English club; he's not like Aubameyang. He loved his time at Arsenal and is still in contact with a lot of players, not least Bukayo Saka – they have a special relationship," said Dr Sogut as quoted by the Mirror.

Ozil played with Aubameyang for three years, where they won one FA Cup title. The retired German international is now with Istanbul Basaksehir after leaving Fenerbahce.

Aubameyang meanwhile, is still settling in West London under Graham Potter. He has three goals so far in a Chelsea shirt.

He will be reunited with his former club on November 6 when Arsenal visit Stamford Bridge.

Graham Potter urged to offload Aubameyang

Sports Brief had earlier reported that former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino had urged Blues boss Graham Potter to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang sealed a stunning move to Stamford Bridge in the summer from Barcelona under former manager Thomas Tuchel.
