Thomas Partey was in devastating form for Arsenal as they defeated Watford in the English Premier League on Sunday to move into the top four.

The Black Stars deputy captain was immense, winning the most duels and had the best take-ons in the game as the Gunners won 3-2 at the Vicarage Road.

In a stats posted on Twitter by Squawka, the 28-year-old also completed the most passes in the game, more than any other Arsenal player.

Thomas Partey has been enjoying a decent run of form since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's hopes of finishing in the top four has now been given a major boost as they have three games in hand.

Arsenal sneak into the top four

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that after weeks of waiting, Arsenal were finally able to get back to the top four once again.

The Gunners sneaked back into the final Champions League qualifying spot after their 3-2 epic victory over Watford.

Arsenal's place in the top four was heavily dependent on the outcome of Man United's clash with Man City. Having lost at Etihad, the Red Devils effectively dropped to fifth with 47 points, two points ahead of West Ham who dropped points during their Anfield trip.

Manchester City thrash Manchester United in derby

Meanwhile, Man City have been handed a huge boost in their push to retain the Premier League title after they secured a 4-1 win over rivals Man United during an epic Manchester derby staged at Etihad Stadium.

The Sunday, March 6, encounter was arguably the biggest in the English top-flight during the weekend as it had a big bearing on the title race and the top four battle.

However, it was City who eventually emerged victors, with Pep Guardiola's charges sweeping United aside in front of their home fans.
