The beef between Sandile Zungu and Kaizer Chiefs has finally come to an end.
The AmaZulu FC owner has had a grudge against the Amakhosi since January over their pursuit of midfielder, Siyethemba Sithebe.
Sithebe agreed to join The Glamour Boys upon the expiration of his contract in June, but Zungu was not happy with the way the deal was concluded.
As reported by iDiski Times, Zungu recently buried the hatchet with the Amakhosi management over the issue regarding the player.
“We’ve spoken about it with Bobby and Jessica Motaung, it’s in the past now. We are at peace, so there’s no longer bad blood.”
Zungu also confirmed that Sithebe would be leaving the club imminently, IOL reported.
What prompted the bad blood between Sandile Zungu and Kaizer Chiefs?
The AmaZulu boss was unhappy with the way Kaizer Chiefs agreed on a deal with his player. Sithebe was in the last six months of his contract with Usuthu and free to negotiate with other sides. Zungu, though, alleged that Chiefs had approached the player illegally before he entered the final stages of his contract.
What happened to Siyethemba Sithebe’s career at AmaZulu?
Kaizer Chiefs weren’t the only ones in the bad books of Zungu. Sithebe was also punished by the club as his owner banned him from ever wearing the AmaZulu shirt ever again. He did not play for the side since January. Former coach Benni McCarthy said he would select Sithebe for games if the player performed well in training, but this too was overturned by an angry Zungu.

FootballDid the matter end there?
The drama between Zungu, the player, and the Amakhosi did not end there. The Usuthu owner threatened to report Kaizer Chiefs after he claimed that he had proof that they had approached the player illegally. He then decided not to take the matter further as he was afraid Kaizer Chiefs would be handed another transfer ban.

Siyethemba Sithebe will finally make a return to competitive action when he signs for Kaizer Chiefs.
The AmaZulu midfielder has not played for the club since agreeing to join the Amakhosi in January.
The player was in the last six months of his contract with Usuthu and agreed on a deal with Chiefs to join the Soweto side when his contract ended in June.
