Siyethemba Sithebe will finally make a return to competitive action when he signs for Kaizer Chiefs.
The AmaZulu midfielder has not played for the club since agreeing to join the Amakhosi in January.
The player was in the last six months of his contract with Usuthu and agreed on a deal with Chiefs to join the Soweto side when his contract ended in June.
The manner in which the deal was conducted upset AmaZulu owner, Sandile Zungu, who banned the player from ever playing for the club again.
Zungu has now confirmed that Sithebe will be leaving imminently, IOL reported.
“Sithebe is a forgone conclusion. His contract comes to an end in June and he’s going wherever he is going,” Zungu said.
The saga dominated headlines for many months but both parties can now move forward. AmaZulu will be looking to move forward to bigger and better things after announcing Brandon Truter as their new head coach, Sport24 reported.
Usuthu also secured the signature of Hellings Frank ‘Gabadinho’ Mhango for next season.

Amazulu have reacted angrily to the news, believing that the Amakhosi approached the player before they were legally allowed to do so.
