While football is considered to be the world's most beautiful game, politics has always been described as a dirty dangerous game and for that reason, many don't think it's a good fit.

Taking to social media, fans commented on the news, sharing their opinions on the matter and opinions on the party he was linked with.

JB Mkhwanazi:

"This man will tarnish his good name if he accepts this nomination. If I was him I would refuse it."

Solly Hasani:

"It's a good move to boost his business at least he would have power to influence tenders towards his business as football currently has no gate takings"

Nick Wa Lekhosi Ramabele:

"A very risky path, but choice is his."

Minnicooper Sams:

"I would advise him to not consider politics over football because he is living in one of the most dangerous provinces in SA."

Lungelo Giggc Mtinay:

"Politics and football do not mix, he will be banned by FIFA."

King Sizwe Mngometulu:

"Corrupted Comradeship Looting FC Party"

Sbusiso Nsele:

"Leave ANC to the hyenas, it's from dying natural causes anyway."

Amazulu owner has an eye on ANC leadership, Sandile Zungu could be considered for the Provincial Chairperson post

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Amazulu's new owner Sandile Zungu is being considered for the ANC's Provincial Chairperson post in KwaZulu-Natal. Zungu is one of South Africa's most successful businessmen.

He is the Chairman of Zungu Investment Company, a company that owns shares in numerous other businesses that deal with minerals and energy. Zungu is also the current President of the Black Business Council.

According to The Witness, Zungu may challenge Sihle Zikalala and Nomusa Dube-Ncube for the post. Sihle Zikalala is the current Premier of the province, while Nomusa Dube-Ncube is the treasury MEC.
