Mohammed Kudus has fulfilled his promise to top Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy after winning the February Goal of the Month award at Ajax.

The Black Stars' attacking midfielder pledged to sing for the reggae-dancehall star if he won the Lasse Schone award.

Kudus received the accolade for the second time after netting a stunning free kick against Sparta Rotterdam last month.

During the presentation of the award, the 22-year-old was reminded of his vow. Kudus instead sang a song for Stonebwoy on his birthday. The musician turned 35 on March 5.

Kudus is a big fan of the musician and spends much of his free time jamming to songs from the multiple award-winning artist.

The former FC Nordsjaelland midfielder is enjoying an amazing season in the Dutch Eredivisie. He scored his tenth goal of the league in the win over NEC Nijmegen over the weekend.

Kudus has now netted 15 goals across all competitions for the Dutch giants and kept their title hopes alive after the win on Sunday.

He is expected to make Ghana's squad for the AFCON qualifier against Angola later this month.

Kudus dedicates award to Atsu

Sports Brief also reported on Kudus dedicated his Lasse Schone Goal of the Month award to the late Ghana international, Christian Atsu.

The Black Stars winger tragically died following the devastating earthquake which struck Turkey and Syria on February 6.

The body of the Hatayspor star was found 12 days later after he was trapped under the rubble of a collapsed apartment.

Kudus scores season's tenth goal

Kudus has reached double figures of goals in the Dutch Eredivisie after powering Ajax to victory against NEC Nijmegen.

The Ghana international scored the match's only goal as the champions extended their winning streak to six matches.

Sports Brief reported that Kudus met a sweet cross from the left from Dusan Tadic to break the deadlock after 52 minutes.
