Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has made his intentions clear that he wants to leave Ajax after staging a self imposed boycott of training on Wednesday.

Following the examples of new Manchester United player Antony Santos and Lisandro Martinez, the 22-year-old refused to train in protest against the club's refusal to let him join Everton.

The Black Stars ace had agreed personal terms with the English Premier League club but Ajax decided against the move.

Meanwhile, Ajax are looking at adding Lucas Ocampos to Steven Berghwin, Dusan Tadic and Mohammed Kudus who are all competing for the same position.

Mohammed Kudus has two years left on his contract but the mutiny exhibited could force Ajax to sell him before the window shuts this evening.

The player has been left frustrated in recent times after playing only 26 minutes of the 360 Eredivisie minutes.

He joined Ajax in 2020 from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland.

Mohammed Kudus holds three meetings with Ajax coach over lack of play time

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Kudus has had three crucial meetings with the handlers of Ajax including coach Alfred Schreuder over his limited game time.

The midfielder who was Ajax's best player during pre-season has played only 24 minutes of the Eredivisie this season.

The limited role has left the Ghanaian frustrated with the club having to meet the player three times before Sunday's game at Sparta Rotterdam.

Everton show interest in Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus

Everton are set to sign Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus in the summer transfer window from Dutch giants Ajax.

The 22-year-old is expected to sign a one-year loan deal with the Merseyside club, with Everton having the option of making it a permanent move.

According to GHANASoccernet.com, the player is at advanced stages of talks with the Toffees and will join them before the end of the transfer window.
