Ghana legend Stephen Appiah was one of the high profile personalities to grace the Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko on Sunday in Accra.
The former Black Stars captain arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium to support his former teammate Sulley Muntari and club.
Appiah in photos posted on Twitter is seen wearing the Hearts of Oak jersey with Sulley Muntari's name inscribed at the back.
Appiah who was there to support Muntari also played for Accra Hearts of Oak in the late 90's before leaving to continue his career abroad.
The 41-year-old is considered one of the best players to have ever donned the Hearts of Oak jersey despite playing for only two years between 1995 to 1997.
The ex-footballer is the first Ghana captain to lead the Black Stars to the World Cup, playing a pivotal role as the West African nation appeared in Germany 2006.
Hearts held at home by Asante Kotoko
Meanwhile, the first installment of the Super Clash between Ghana's most glamorous clubs Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended in a goalless stalemate.
The titanic clash garnered massive attention before the encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium and the two decorated clubs did not disappoint.
In photos posted on social media, the match saw huge attendance from fans of both sides as the points were split.

Rodney Appiah, the eldest son of the legendary Ghanaian footballer, played for Great Olympics against Sulley Muntari's Hearts of Oak.
Muntari, who was making his debut for the Phobians, in a video posted on Twitter, is seen being man-marked by Rodney Appiah.
