Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has taken to social media to flaunt a diamond encrusted necklace which is reportedly worth millions of naira, as seen on Sportmob.
The Napoli of Italy forward has been dropped from the Super Eagles squad that will depart for Cameroon where the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations starts on January 9.
Osimhen who clocked 23 on December 29 was replaced by Henry Onyekuru after he tested positive for Covid-19 as he was about returning to Naples for a medical checkup.
The in-form striker suffered fractures to his cheekbone having clashed with Inter defender Milan Skriniar during a Serie A encounter last month.
He already underwent a successful surgery and was ruled out of action for three months, but he returned to training last week where he was spotted having an individual session at the Napoli training ground.
The former Lille of France striker will not take part of the AFCON tournament having tested positive for Covid, but he earlier shared an image of his diamond encrusted piece.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the youngster shared a picture of the piece which also has pictures of his parents on the pendant and wrote: “Thank Y’all For The Birthday Wishes” and accompanied it with a red heart emoji.
Napoli surgeon cautions Nigeria
Meanwhile, Napoli surgeon Professor Gianpaolo Tartaro earlier stated that only a miracle will see the striker participate at the Africa Cup of Nations.
He recently took to social media saying he will be ready for the continental showpiece.
