Daniel Amartey produced one of the best performances of his career after his heroic performance for Leicester City earned the Foxes victory against Liverpool.

The Ghana defender played in the center of defence with Nigeria's Wilfried Ndidi as Leicester completely shut the attacking threat of Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane.

In posts on Social Media, the 27-year-old is being hailed by football lovers with some describing him as the greatest of all time.

Ademola Lookman's 59th minute strike separated the two side after Mane had missed a penalty in the first half.

""I think Ghana can be proud of him tonight." Well said Jim Beglin on Daniel Amartey's performance against Liverpool. Him and Ndidi formed a formidable Ghana/Naija wall at the heart of the Leicester defence," wrote Ghanaian journalist Michael Oti.
"Daniel Amartey and Wilfred Ndidi are the first central defensive partnership to stop Liverpool from scoring this season. Liverpool had scored in their 28 games across all competitions this season before playing Leciester . Wicked!," added George Addo Jr.
"Can’t lie. Amartey x Ndidi might be the greatest Nigerian x Ghanaian link up since Wande Coal and R2Bees dropped Kiss Your Hand. It’s like the anointing from God is preventing them from conceding," wrote Mayowa Quadri.
Nathan Quao wrote, "I was worried for Amartey but he did very well tonight. Solid, calm, assured. Dewsbury-Hall was top stuff."
"Amartey is 10/10 against arguably the best attack in Europe," wrote London based Ghanaian journalist Rahman Osman.
"Same energy in Cameroon," wrote Kwame Benainah.

Ademola Lookman's strike earns Leicester victory against Liverpool

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ademola Lookman's second-half goal was the only difference as Leicester City battled Liverpool to a 1-0 win on Tuesday night, December 28.

The Reds were hoping to use the tie to return to winning ways in the Premier League having settled for a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing.

However, Leicester, who saw their League Cup campaign ended by Liverpool earlier last week earned perfect revenge over Jurgen Klopp's charges as they downed them at home.
