Cameroonian cities are beginning to bubble ahead of the January 9 kick-off date for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, Complete Sports reports.
The Falcons of Jediane arrived the host country as they made the confirmation on their Twitter handle.
It was gathered that players and officials landed in Yaounde on Tuesday to confirm themselves as one of the early arrivals.
Reports say the Sudanese who were crowned champions of the continent in 1970 have been in intense training in Khartoum for weeks.
They participated at the recently concluded FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar where the crashed out in the group stages of the competition having lost to Algeria (4-0), Egypt (5-0) and Lebanon (1-0).
The team are back in the competition having last featured at the 2012 edition where they got to the quarter-finals.
Also, they will kick-off their 2021 AFCON campaign against Guinea-Bissau on January 11. Their clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria comes up on January 15.
Sudan coach release provisional 36-man list for AFCON
The newly appointed coach of the Sudanese national football team, Burhan Tia, has announced a provisional 36-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Tia was recently appointed following the sacking of Frenchman Hubert Velud, after Sudan's early exit from the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 held in Qatar.
Only one player plying his trade abroad outside Sudan, Athar Attahir, who features as a defender for Egyptian side Smouha Al-Masry made the list.
The Falcons of Jediane will begin their continental quest on January 11 against Guinea Bissau and then take on Nigeria on January 15, before facing giants Egypt four days later.

Sports Brief earlier reported, that Ethiopia are their first team to land in Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations, set to kick off on January 9, 2022.
The Walyas touched down at the Nsimalen International Airport of Yaounde on Sunday, December 26.
As soon as they landed, players, technical staff and other members of the party were subjected to Covid-19 tests at the airport before moving to their team hotel.
