Emmanuel Dennis continued his impressive performances this season in the Premier League netting his 8th goal of the term as his side Watford suffered a 4-1 defeat against West Ham.

The Nigerian striker has been superb so far this season in the Premier League which also helped him to be called for the 2021 African Cup of Nations by Super Eagles coaching crew.

Dennis and his teammates playing at home wanted to impress their fans against West Ham United and they indeed scored the first goal through the Nigerian in the 4th minute.

Joshua King slipped a clever pass through to Dennis, who jinked past Craig Dawson inside the box before rifling a brilliant strike past goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Who scored for West Ham United?

According to the report on GOAL and Complete Sports, Emmanuel Dennis and his teammates failed to protect their 1-goal lead and conceded four.

Tomas Soucek restored parity for West Ham in the 27th minute before Said made it two for the visitors in the 29th minute as they went into the dressing room leading at half time.

Mark Noble and Nikola scored the two other goals which gave West Ham United the win.

Emmanuel Dennis Delighted to Be Re-called to Super Eagles

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis has expressed excitement and declared he is proud to have made the Super Eagles squad list to the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Interim coach of the Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen last week released Nigeria’s list to the AFCON comprising of 28 players headlined by Napoli forward Victor Osimhen and captain Ahmed Musa.

Other players also on the list include Kelechi Iheanacho, Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun, Maduka Okoye and returnee Odion Ighalo.
