Football fraternities in many parts of the world have been thrown into serious mourning following the untimely demise of Oman international Mukhaled Al-Raqadi.
The 29-year-old footballer was said to have collapsed and died while warming up before the League match involving his team Muscat FC and Suwaiq.
According to the report on UK Sun and Caughtoffside, medical staff on ground at the stadium tried their best even after rushing the footballer to the hospital, but all efforts were futile.
The report added that his club Muscat FC have expressed sadness over the incident that led to the death of their player.
Muscat FC's statement on Al-Raqadi's death
"With faithful hearts accepting of God's will, the board of directors of Muscat sports club and all its affiliates extend their sincere condolences to the family of Al-Raqadi.
“We ask God to have mercy on him. To God we belong and to God we shall return."
