Ghana and Racing Strasbourg defender, Alexander Djiku is ready for the pre-AFCON camping in Qatar and the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.
The center-back took to social media to confirm his participation at the tournament amid reports of European clubs unwilling to release players.
In a post on Twitter, the French-born Ghana is enthused ahead of the competition which begins in January.
"Let's go to Qatar," he wrote with fire emojis.
The Ghana Football Association has revealed the team will start preparations on Friday for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The players including Djiku are expected to start reporting on the same day. Djiku has been an integral member of the Black Stars since making his debut last year.
He missed only a game during the World Cup qualifiers and was ever-present in the AFCON qualification.
Ghana will play a series of friendlies including a game against African champions Algeria in Qatar, before leaving for Cameroon on January 7, 2021.
The Black Stars are chasing a fifth AFCON title after last winning the tournament in 1982, having come close in 1992, 2010 and 2015.
Ghana are in group C at AFCON 2021 and will open their campaign with a titanic clash against the Atlas Lions of Cameroon on January 10, 2022.
The team will then face Gabon and Comoros Island in subsequent matches.
