AFCON 2019: Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne unhappy with state of team hotel in Egypt

Harambee Stars were accorded a heroic welcome by Kenyans living in Egypt after touching base in the north African country on Wednesday, June 19.

Stars were initially on a three-week training camp in France where the team took part in two friendlies against Madagascar and DR Congo as part of their preparations for the continental tournament.

However, head coach, Sebastien Migne, appeared unhappy with the state of affairs at the Rose Plaza Hotel where his wards' are staying ahead of the start of the competition on Friday, June 21.

“The main problem was in accommodation because when we visited the hotel at this time, Wi-Fi internet and Sports Channel was there and now we have nothing,” Migne divulged to reporters.
“And when you have the players with only one training session per day, they need a Sports Channel to follow the tournament, English Channel and of course with the new generation, if you don’t have Wifi, the days are very long," he further lamented.

Meanwhile, the tactician took time to allay any injury fears, revealing all players in the camp were fit and ready for the tourney.

“Everyone here is now fit and we are not having issues with injuries. We are now focused to turn our training sessions in France into results,” he said.

Kenya have been pooled in Group C alongside Senegal, Tanzania and Desert Warriors of Algeria.
