Ernesto Valverde's men put in a show of champions against the German giants with Messi's formidable partnership with Suarez and Antoine Griezmann making the needed difference.
The hosts exhibited ruthless dominance over their visitors from the beginning of the game before taking an early lead with Messi's 22nd minute strike which was later ruled out as offside.

Messi was booked in the 52nd minute of the second half for diving but that was not enough to demoralise the Argentine who provided Griezmann with an incredible pass that helped the Frenchman hit the net in 67th minute.
Jadon Sancho gave the German side a late minute consolation goal as the Champions League encounter ended in thrilling 3-1 win for Barcelona.
