Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane suffered a major heartbreak after losing his elder brother Farid to cancer at the age of 54.
The Frenchman left Los Blancos preseason camp in Canada earlier this week but the only thing the club revealed was that he went to attend to personal issues, before later confirming the worst.

Reports indicated the Frenchman got one last chance to see Farid after he made it in time to be by his brother's side just before his death.
The three time Champions League winning manager's brother died after he lost his battle with cancer.
The club offered its condolences to their manager and have also given him as much time as he needs away from work as he comes to terms with his brother's passing.
Los Blancos held a minute of silence Saturday, July 13, to pay their tribute to the departed before their early morning training in Montreal.

Zidane's son, Luca, who recently joined Racing Santander on loan was also excused by his new club to be with his family.

Reports indicated Farid was surrounded by his family members before his demise in the early hours of Saturday, July 13.
