According to Complete Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are going neck-to-neck for the signature of Iheanacho, who will join as a free agent.

The former Manchester City youngster is reportedly keen to remain in England, and Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have also been linked with the striker.

Iheanacjo, who has spent close to a decade in England and played a crucial role in Leicester City’s promotion back to the Premier League, also has offers from Turkey, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.

Nottingham Forest enter Iheanacho race

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are the latest English Premier League club to register their interest in signing just-departed Leicester City forward Iheanacho in the summer transfer window, Football Insider reports.

Forest are in the market for a striker this summer and have identified the Super Eagles forward as a key target to help the team reach their goals for the 2024/25 season.

Iheanacho is available on a free transfer this summer after he departed the King Power Stadium at the end of June after seven years with the club.

Iheanacho sparks Aston Villa transfer speculation

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Iheanacho’s actions have fuelled speculation about a potential move to Villa Park following rumours of a possible exit earlier in the year.

The former Leicester City forward liked a post on X from Aston Villa celebrating Ollie Watkins, the club's player of the season.

Iheanacho’s contract with the Foxes expires in June, and reports suggest that Villa, who have secured a coveted UEFA Champions League spot for the upcoming season, are among the top clubs interested in securing the Nigerian forward’s services.
