Vinicius-inspired Brazil smash Paraguay

Dorival Junior's men were under pressure following a frustrating goalless draw with Costa Rica in their opener. However, Vinicius took control to reignite their campaign.

According to Sportstar, he opened the scoring in the 35th minute, finishing a slick Samba-styled move.

Girona winger, Savio, then doubled the lead by capitalising on a rebound. Just before half-time, Vini Jr. added another goal, his relentless pressing resulting in a fortuitous strike.

Despite Omar Alderete's long-range goal for Paraguay, which halved the deficit, Lucas Paqueta extinguished any hopes of a comeback by converting a penalty to secure Brazil's fourth goal, per The Athletic.

Vinicius dazzles with flicks and tricks

While his brace was enough to earn him the man-of-the-match award, Vinicius's dazzling skills truly captivated fans.

Known for his daring dribbles, the Madrid No.7 effortlessly outmanoeuvred the opposition with his tricks and flicks.

In one memorable moment, the Flamengo academy graduate performed a rainbow flick on his favoured left wing, evading his marker before nutmegging an onrushing defender and darting away.

These impressive moves left fans buzzing with excitement.

Vinicius honours Neymar with celebration

In a related publication, Sports Brief reported that Vinicius honoured Neymar with a themed celebration after scoring twice in Brazil's second-group match against Paraguay.

Instead of his usual dance, he mimicked Neymar Jr.'s signature gesture: hands on top of his head with his tongue out.

Neymar, now with Al-Hilal, explained on Twitter that this gesture is aimed at his critics.
