In the 2023/24 season, Chiefs finished 10th, their worst position in the PSL era. They also had one of the worst attacks in the league.

After failing to hire Nabi last season, Molefi Ntseki was given the role and lasted for 114 days. Cavin Johnson led the team in an interim capacity, but the experiment failed.
