According to Metro UK, Chelsea are prepared to break the bank to land Isak from Newcastle in the coming weeks. The publication reports that talks have already taken place between the two clubs to work out on a deal.

It is understood that the 2021 UEFA Champions League winners are prepared to pay more than the £115 million they spent on Moises Caicedo last summer to land the highly-rated striker.

Chelsea's desire to sign the 24-year-old came after an impressive display last season, with the forward scoring 25 goals and firmly establishing a reputation as one of Europe's hottest prospects.

However, it remains to be seen if Isak will make the move, having recently made it clear that he is happy at St James Park.
