Ghana forward Osman Bukari has finally arrived in Austin, Texas, to begin his career with Major League Soccer side Austin FC.

The Black Stars forward signed a three-year deal to join the MLS outfit as a Designated Player from Serbian champions Red Bull Salzburg.

Bukari's trip to Austin was delayed due to his involvement in Ghana's World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic early this month.

In a video shared on social media, Bukari landed in the United States on Tuesday and was greeted by hundreds of Austin fans in Texas. The fans sang and chanted his name as they welcomed him to the city.

"I am really excited to be here and I can't wait to be on the pitch. I can see amazing fans and I will be very happy to play in front of you and I hope very soon I will be on the pitch," he told the fans.
“Since last year I was thinking of playing in MLS, so when this offer came I didn’t want to say no to it. Austin is a beautiful city," he added.

Bukari spent the last two seasons playing in Serbia, where he won back-to-back double with Red Star Belgrade.

His performances earned him a spot in Ghana's World Cup squad at the tournament in Qatar, scoring on his debut in the 3-2 defeat to Portugal.

Last season, Bukari scored ten goals and delivered ten assists for the Serbian giants, per Transfermarkt.

Osman Bukari seals move to Austin FC

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana winger, Osman Bukari joined Major League Soccer outfit Austin FC from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.

The 25-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year deal to join Austin FC as a Designated Player.

Bukari enjoyed two successful seasons in Belgrade, where he won back-to-back league and Serbian Cup titles.
