Napoli are set to make a U-turn on Victor Osimhen by reducing their asking price for the Nigerian forward when the summer transfer window opens.
The 25-year-old forward, who has one year remaining on his contract with the Italian club, has been strongly linked with a move away from the 2022/23 Serie A champions this summer.
According to Complete Sports, Osimhen’s release clause which is valued close to €150 million has been a turn-off to most of his suitors who are unwilling to pay that high amount for the Nigerian.
Napoli are reportedly ready to lower that initial valuation of the 25-year-old forward to €100mil, in the hope that they can free up much-needed transfer funds for new boss Antonio Conte.

Man United plan Osimhen swap deal
Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly planning to offer Napoli on-loan striker Mason Greenwood plus cash in exchange for Osimhen this summer, per The Peoples Person.
The Red Devils are not in the best of shape financially after more than a decade of disastrous decisions in the transfer market and a swap deal could be their only means of affording the Napoli hitman.
Manchester United wants to use Greenwood plus cash to bring Osimhen to the Theatre of Dreams as the 20-time English league champions are said to value Greenwood at €35mil.
