Manchester City midfielder, Jack Grealish, is reportedly set to cut short his summer holiday for an early return to the club after his England disappointment.

The 28-year-old was a surprise omission from the England squad selected for the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament.

According to The Mirror, Grealish had initially made Gareth Southgate's 33-man preliminary team for the tournament.

However, he was among the six players overlooked when Southgate announced his final team for the Germany trip.

Grealish has been training at Juventus' facilities since the snub in a bid to stay in shape for the upcoming season.

It has since emerged that the English star has resolved to return to the Etihad Stadium earlier than scheduled.

According to reports, the former Aston Villa ace has informed City of his intention to resume several days before the return date set by Pep Guardiola.

It is understood that the City squad is scheduled to report for the pre-season on July 23, with those not involved in the Euros returning on July 9.

Meanwhile, England will be looking to qualify for the last 16 of the Euros when they take on Slovenia in their last Group C clash on Tuesday, June 25.

The Three Lions are currently topping the pool with four points following their 1-0 win over Serbia in their group opener and a draw against Denmark last Saturday.
