Nasreddine Nabi will soon be appointed as Kaizer Chiefs' new coach.

The AS FAR Rabat coach recently confirmed Amakhosi's offer, and multipole reports in South Africa have indicated that it is only a matter of time before he is appointed.

Fadlu Davids, Raja Casablanca assistant coach, recently shed light on Nabi's style of play that he could implement as Chiefs coach.

Nabi and AS FAR Rabat lost the Moroccan league to Davids Raja by one point despite leading the league for most of 2023/24.

On Tuesday, Sunday, June 23, AS FAR booked their spot in the Throne Cup final, meaning Nabi's appointment will be delayed.

Some of his potential backroom have been spotted in South Africa, confirming his imminent appointment.

Amakhosi are hoping Nabi can bring success to the club, which hasn't won silverware for nine years. Their last head coach, Molefi Ntseki, was fired after 114 days on the job, per SABC Sport.

Nasreddine Nabi's tactics explained

Davids, Josef Zinnbauer's assistant at Raja Casablanca, knows how Nabi sets up his team after playing against AS FAR last season. Both encounters ended in a stalemate. They could meet in the Throne Cup final if Raja wins their semi-final clash.

In an interview with Far Post, Davids gave insight into Nabi's tactics.

“Nabi’s team is very direct; they score a lot of goals in set pieces and penalties,” Davids said. “But a very powerful team. They are very direct in their approach, with lots of crosses coming into the box, and they win games. That’s their strength. They will win their matches; no matter what, they will win."
“It is a contrasting style to us at Raja. We are a possession-based team. We want to see football being played in a certain way. On the other hand, Nabi is about getting results, and he got results," Davids added.

Chiefs scored 25 goals in 30 PSL matches last season, the fourth-worst in the South African top flight. Can Nabi rejuvenate their attack?

Kaizer Chiefs advised to snub Nasreddine Nabi

Sports Brief earlier reported that Muhsin Ertugral had asked Kaizer Chiefs to snub Nasreddine Nabi and appoint Pitso Mosimane instead.

The former Amakhosi boss thinks the Mamelodi Sundowns legend is well-versed in the league and club compared to Nabi.
