Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, continues to make history at the UEFA European Championship as he equalled a former Manchester United star's record in Portugal's win over Turkey.

The former Juventus star failed to score in Portugal's 3-0 win over Turkey at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, June 22.

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva scored the match's first goal before an own goal from Samet Akaydin doubled their lead in the first half.

According to a BBC Sport report, Ronaldo registered his first goal involvement at Euro 2024 by assisting Bruno Fernandes to seal Roberto Martinez's side's victory over the Turkish.

Ronaldo's assist in the game was his eighth in the competition's history, which put him on par with former Manchester United winger Karel Poborsky, according to UEFA.

Portugal has joined Germany and Spain as teams that have qualified for the Round of 16 at the Euro 2026. The Seleccao's last group game would be against newcomers Georgia next week.

Sports Brief earlier reported on the pleasing event that happened between Ronaldo and a pitch invader against Turkey.

The fan, wearing a red tracksuit top, evaded security staff as he emerged from the stand behind the benches midway through the second half of the game in Dortmund and made his way towards the Portugal skipper.

Sports Brief also reported that Ronaldo dropped his marker Abdulkerim Bardakci on the ground with a classic stepovers in the game against the Crescent Stars.

Although the former Real Madrid star's move didn't lead to a goal, his impressive footwork stirred reactions from fans on social media.
