The broadcaster got fans questioning their football knowledge during a preview of the Copa America tournament.

While talking about Argentina’s opening game against Canada, the talk turned to the topic of Lionel Messi.

Lloyd compares Pulisic to Messi

As noted by BroBible, former United States of America player, Carli Lloyd, spoke about how the Argentinian was a generational talent like Maradona, but that others were also reaching those levels.

“There’s nobody like Messi. And I don’t think that there ever will be somebody like Messi,” she first said.

While that all seemed in order, it was Lloyd’s next statement which had many scratching their heads.

“It’s a generational talent. It’s like Maradona. And then Messi has just had that crown. But there’s other players; Jude Bellingham, Pulisic’s coming up,” she added.

Pulisic finds success with AC Milan

After struggling to find his feet in the English Premier League with Chelsea, the American has found form in the Serie A.

The winger has made 50 appearances for AC Milan, scoring 15 goals and notching up 11 assists as per Transfermarkt.

At Chelsea, he played 145 games, only scored 26 times and notched up 19 assists.

Pulisic praises Messi’s influence

Sports Brief previously reported how USMNT player Pulisic praised Messi’s influence on Major League Soccer.

The Argentinian joined Inter Miami in the United States after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

Pulisic hailed Messi for bringing some excitement back to the league and for raising the level of the Miami side.
