However, SPORTbible reports that Serbia could walk away from the tournament after playing just one game so far.

The Eagles are in Group C of the tournament alongside England, Slovenia, and Denmark.

The Dragan Stojković-tutored side kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 defeat against the Three Lions last Sunday, and already face a mountainous task to book a place in the knockouts.

Why Serbia could quit Euro 2024

According to Metro UK, Serbia have threatened to quit the Euro 2024 if UEFA fails to punish Croatia and Albania for chants against them.

Jovan Surbatovic, the General Secretary of Serbian Football Association (FSS), wants the football body administering the tournament UEFA to take action against the two nations after chants of, ‘Kill, kill, kill the Serb’, were reportedly heard during the two countries Group B match on Wednesday, June 19.

"First of all, I want to thank our fans for their support in the match against England and I hope we will beat Slovenia," said Surbatovic.
"What happened is scandalous and we will ask UEFA for sanctions, even if it means not continuing the competition," he continued.

Serbia are scheduled to take on Slovenia later on Thursday, June 20, before winding up their group stage fixtures against Denmark next Tuesday.

Albania star sets record vs Croatia

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Croatia’s 2-2 draw against Albania producing one of the rarest moments in the history of the Euros.

Just like their game against Italy on Saturday, June 15, Albania took the lead against the run of play through Qazim Lachi in the 11th minute.
