During an Instagram Live, Osimhen blasted the former Nigerian coach, saying he lost all respect for him.

George has since resigned as coach of the national side, and fans are waiting for Napoli’s Osihmen to make a public apology.

Osimhen returns to social media

The 25-year-old returned to social media for the first time since the rant but didn’t apologise for his actions.

Instead, as reported by Soccernet.NG, he updated his story to wish Odion Igalho a happy birthday.

He also shared a photo with former French star Louis Saha.

How Osimhen bashed George

The Nigerian striker upset many when he took to Instagram to have a go at the Super Eagles boss.

Reacting to quotes wrongly attributed to George, Osimhen stated that he never faked an injury to avoid representing the national team in the recent World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.

The quotes that Osimhen reacted to were later proven to be false.

George steps down after two games

Following their defeat in the final of AFCON in Ivory Coast, former Super Eagles boss, Jose Peseiro, stepped down from the post.

A lengthy search was conducted to find his replacement, and the former Ajax Amsterdam man was brought in.

George oversaw two games with the side before calling it quits.

GOAL reported that he left the post because the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) wanted to bring in a technical advisor.

Osimhen’s recent rant can’t have helped matters either.

Anichebe comments on Osimhen’s video

Sports Brief reported what Victor Anichebe said about Osimhen’s comments about Finidi George.

Anichebe, a former Nigerian striker, first lambasted the NFF, saying they were clueless.

He added that he understood Osimhen’s reaction but that it was not the right thing to do.
