As reported by MOT Leeds News, the Bafana Bafana star has attracted interest from Leeds United ahead of the transfer window opening.

According to reports, the Elland Road side have sent out scouts to watch the defender in action. The Whites are eager to bolster their squad after failing to secure promotion back to the English Premier League.

They finished third in the Championship but lost a chance to qualify during the playoffs. Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton all claimed spots in next season’s English Premier League.

Mudau attracts interest from across Europe

Following his exploits for Bafana Bafana in the African Cup of Nations, Mudau had more eyes on him.

GOAL noted that he had attracted interest from Belgium, while some reports also stated that Burnley were keen on signing him.

A move to the Clarets will also see him link up with fellow South African star, Lyle Foster, adding his name to the list of South Africans who have played in England.

Mudau’s impressive season for club and country

The Sundowns star is attracting attention thanks to his performances for Brazilians and Bafana.

He made 36 appearances across the season for Sundowns and was one of the standout performances for South Africa in Ivory Coast.

A no-nonsense defender who isn’t afraid to tear down the wings as well, Mudau’s contract only ends at the end of next season.

Mudau’s desire to play in Europe

Sports Brief also previously reported how Mudau discussed playing in Europe after attracting interest abroad.

The Mamelodi Sundowns defender recently discussed the prospect, saying he'd take it if the opportunity arose.

The Bafana star was linked with a move abroad after impressing in the Africa Cup of Nations for South Africa.
