  • Khuliso Mudau has reiterated interest in moving to Europe in the near future
  • The rated defender has been impressive in the PSL for Mamelodi Sundowns
  • Mudau, however, disclosed that he would be patient until the right time comes

Impressive Bafana Bafana star Khuliso Mudau has set his sights on Europe as he hopes for a move in the next transfer window.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a possible move to Belgium following his impact for South Africa at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Mudau stated that he would grab a transfer opportunity with both hands but would keep mum about his future.

In a chat with iDiski Times, the Mamelodi Sundowns right-back emphasised that he would wait for the right time. He said:

“On that one, I think if that opportunity comes, I would take it.
“But for now I can’t say anything, I don’t know anything. So, I’ll just wait, I’m like you, I don’t know anything.”

He admitted that he has improved so much since joining the Brazilians. He added:

“You know that side [Sundowns], you need the right mentality, stay positive, and make sure that you want to learn.
"Because, if you can check, almost all the players there have improved, you need to learn a lot."

Mudau played an important role in South Africa's campaign at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Bafana Bafana won bronze after defeating DR Congo in the 3rd-place play-off via a penalty shootout.

They had lost the semi-final game to eventual runners-up Nigeria via spot-kicks as well.

Mudau rues missed chance vs Nigeria

Sports Brief earlier reported that Bafana Bafana defender, Mudau, has continued to regret the last-minute miss against Nigeria at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.

South Africa came from a goal down to draw level with the Super Eagles in their semi-final clash in Bouake.

The Mamelodi Sundowns right-back had a last-gasp chance to win it for his side in injury time, but his effort went over the bar.
