Football fans have continued to react to viral photos capturing Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung showing off incredible football skills.

The 79-year-old was photographed on the touchline, attempting keepy-uppies, as he brilliantly controlled the ball with deft touches.

Recall that the football administrator also played professionally, as he played as a forward for the Orlando Pirates, Atlanta Chiefs, and Denver Dynamos during his active days.

Motaung Senior is the founder of Kaizer Chiefs. In 2010, he bought back the 40 percent stake he sold to Primedia one year earlier.

GOAL reports that Amakhosi sold 35 per cent of their shares to Mike Nkuna, who was rumoured to be keen on acquiring more shares to become the majority shareholder.

The club have now gone nine seasons without silverware, and the priority now is finding a manager to replace Molefi Ntseki, who was fired last year.

Cavin Johnson temporarily took charge of the team, and the squad struggled during the campaign, crashing out of the Nedbank Cup and finishing the DStv Premiership in 10th position.

A mass exodus also looms at the club, as at least eight players are expected to leave this summer while fresh legs are signed.

However, the club's boss seemed to be enjoying himself on the flanks as he juggled the ball to the delight of fans.

Photos of him showing his footballing skills flooded the internet and fans have continued to react.

One said:

"I have an uncle who never shuts his mouth about how good Motaung was, he even says he's the greatest SA football player of all time."

Another advised:

"He must just sell the club because he does not have love it anymore."

A fan wrote:

"He must sign a proper technical team so we can celebrate him again like we used to."

Kaizer Chiefs told to appoint Sergio Almenara

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs are desperately in search of a permanent manager, and the club's chairman has been told to consider appointing Sergio Almenara.

Almenara has left his role as the Orlando Pirates' assistant coach after helping the team win four trophies in two seasons.

The tactician joined the Sea Robbers alongside Jose Riveiro ahead of the 2022/23 and was a crucial member of the Spaniard’s technical team.
