Two days earlier, the Spanish giants had won the UEFA Champions League at the expense of Borussia Dortmund.
The French captain will join his Madrid teammates after the Euros and could win his first silverware with the club as early as August 14, when the White Angels play against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup.
Meanwhile, his attention will be focused on helping Didier Deschamps' men win a third European Championship in Germany, starting next Friday, June 14.
But expressing his disappointment, former French international, Jerome Rothen, highlighted a perceived contrast in Mbappe's commitment levels between his tenure at PSG and his performances for Les Bleus, following his move to the Spanish capital.

FootballRothen drew attention to the captain's vibrant and engaged demeanour during France's game in Metz, contrasting it with what he perceived as a lacklustre attitude during his time with the Parisians.
He criticised what he saw as a disconnect between the club's fans and Mbappe's teammates during the turbulent final months, a period marked by a noticeable reduction in his playing time.
"I think he betrayed us. Throughout the season, it was catastrophic from start to finish in terms of images and communication," the PSG legend said, as quoted by GOAL.
Rothen added: "I'm really angry with him [Mbappe] because when I see him in the French team with the banana, it's not possible."
Meanwhile, Mbappe has been labelled the new GOAT of football, surpassing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Ally McCoist.
He made this assertion ahead of Euro 2024, highlighting the 2018 World Cup winner as the world's standout player, as reported by Sports Brief.
