Saudi giants, Al Nassr, have sent Cristiano Ronaldo a special message after the veteran forward won a prestigious award.

The former Manchester United attacker has been in flawless form for Al Nassr this season, with his incredible performances helping the club seal a second-place finish in the standings behind Al-Hilal.

According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo recently made history by becoming the highest goalscorer in a single season in the Saudi Pro League.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner inked his name into history books after scoring his 35th league goal of the season against Al-Ittihad back on May 27 at Al-Awwal Stadium.

At the time, CR7 opened the scoring for his side moments before the break, and then he completed his brace in the second half.

His impressive performances in May have now seen him crowned the SPL Player of the Month for May.

Al Nassr send Cristiano message

His club have since taken some time to send him a special message after the veteran forward added yet another accolade to his cabinet.

In a post shared on X, the club celebrated Ronaldo's latest milestone with the message:

"No. 1 in history 🐐 No. 1 in May 🌟 #PlayerOfTheMonth."

Meanwhile, Ronaldo ended the season with 44 goals and 13 assists in 45 matches for the Knights of the Najad.

The Real Madrid icon will be hoping to replicate his spectacular form with Portugal during the upcoming Euro 2024 in Germany.

Ronaldo sets new record

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Ronaldo setting a new Instagram record with his message to Kylian Mbappe.

The Portuguese was among several high-ranking football names who wished Mbappe well after he sealed his dream move to Real Madrid.

The Frenchman quit Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2023/24 season.
