A group of Arsenal fans in Mali gave Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey, a befitting welcome following his arrival in Bamako for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Partey, who has been a key figure at the London club since joining from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2022, travelled with his Black Stars teammates for the game against Mali.

In a video shared on social media, the excited supporters shared their delight after meeting Partey and wished him well against Mali.
Partey is returning to the team after a long absence due to an injury that kept him out for most of the campaign.
He, however, played a key role at the tail end of the campaign as the Gunners matched Manchester City neck-to-neck in the Premier League, losing the title by just a point.
The veteran midfielder will captain the Black Stars against Mali tonight, as reported by Peace FM Online.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Otto Addo confirmed Partey would captain Ghana for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The four-time African champions, Ghana will face Mali and the Central African Republic in June as they seek to rejoin the global spectacle.
