Gareth Southgate's side are in Group C of the tournament, pooled alongside Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia.

According to SPORTbible, each of the 24 teams taking part in the competition will receive £7.92million for making the Germany trip, with the money expected to rise to £26mili, which is the ultimate prize for title winners.

That fee is understood to be on top of the standard amount players receive for representing their countries.

How much will England stars earn?

Wales Online reports that England stars will each pocket £2,000 per match.

However, the fee will likely be boosted via a bonus system that may be decided via the FA.

Interestingly, England players have in the past decided against pocketing the money offered for playing for the country.

Instead, the proceeds are donated to the England Football Foundation and later distributed to charities.

Meanwhile, Southgate has since decided on the final squad representing the country at the tournament.

The tactician had previously selected 33 players buthas now settled on a 26-man squad in the final shortlist for the Germany trip.

The Three Lions have never won the continental crown, coming agonisingly close in 2020 when they reached the final, only to lose to Italy.
