Jose Mourinho is back in football management with Fenerbahce, and the salary he will pocket in his new role with the Turkish club has been disclosed.
Mourinho was ruthlessly dismissed by AS Roma in January despite leading the club to two consecutive European finals and winning the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League in his first season.
The club replaced him with legend Daniele De Rossi, who has yet to do beyond what the previous boss had done. He led the team to a sixth-place finish and got eliminated in the quarter-final of the Europa League.
Several jobs were linked to the former Real Madrid manager’s name, including Chelsea and some Saudi clubs, but he opted to take up the new challenge at Fenerbahce.

Jose Mourinho's salary at Fenerbahce
There were speculations on what convinced the Portuguese tactician to join the Istanbul-based outfit, with some rival fans claiming he settled because he could no longer attract top offers.
According to ESPN, Fenerbahce have disclosed how much the Special One, who signed a two-year contract with an option of a third year, will take home.
Club president Ali Koc disclosed this at a media briefing yesterday while declaring their figures to inform the stock market.
“Other clubs other than us met with Mourinho. Besiktas also contacted him,” Koc told Turkish media. “We made a much more suitable offer, and he accepted it.
“Mourinho was impressed by our dreams. We gave him and his entire team €12 million annually.”
