Mourinho takes the helm at Fenerbahce, five months after his dismissal from AS Roma and aims to lead the team to league glory.

The Yellow Canaries have finished as runners-up in the Turkish Super Lig for the past three seasons, including a 99-point campaign last term, narrowly missing out to arch-rivals Galatasaray.

What did Mourinho tell Fenerbahce fans at his unveiling?

The 61-year-old waved the club's yellow shirt in the air before signing his contract.

He expressed his gratitude to the fans for making him feel welcome since his arrival on Sunday.

"I want to thank you for your love, the love that I felt from the first moment where my name was first connected with Fenerbahce," he said, as cited by the BBC.
The 'Special One' continued: "Normally, a coach is loved after victories. In this case, I feel that I am loved before victories.
"That, for me, is a big responsibility that I feel. I promise you that from this moment on, I will belong to your family. This shirt is my skin.

Analysing Mourinho's last 3 coaching gigs

As the 'Special One' gears up for his 11th managerial position in his illustrious career, Sports Brief takes a closer look at Mourinho's last three coaching assignments.

The charismatic coach has led Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and AS Roma in his recent roles.

Out of these three clubs, only at Spurs did Mourinho fail to secure a trophy, being dismissed just days before the 2021 Carabao Cup final, which the team subsequently lost 1-0 to Manchester City.

Solskjaer to rival Mourinho at Fenerbahce?

Sports Brief also reported that Turkish giants Besiktas have identified Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a potential managerial candidate.

Should the Norwegian secure the Black Eagles role, Solskjaer will be expected to rival Mourinho, who signed a two-year deal with Fenerbahce.
