After bagging the highest coaching badge in world football, former Orlando Pirates assistant coach Fadlu Davids is now one of the managers linked with the Kaizer Chiefs job.

The 43-year-old has received his UEFA Pro License, through the Northern Irish Football Association.

Davids, who coached in South Africa's Premier Soccer League for several years, says receiving the badge has made his dreams come true.

He wrote, as per GOAL:

"I am incredibly humbled. Achieving my Uefa Pro License today is a dream come true for me. It has been a life-changing journey, starting in 2015 with my Uefa B licence, countless hours, long travels, and sleepless nights, culminating in my Uefa Pro graduation nine years later.
"I take this responsibility with great honour, and I am committed to improving the world of football through hard work and dedication to this magnificent game.
"This is just the beginning, the real work starts now."

He can now coach any team anywhere in the world as the UEFA Pro License is an equivalent of the CAF Pro License.

He currently works under Josef Zinnbauer in Morocco with Raja Casablanca where they are set to win the Botola Pro League.

The managers have led the team to 29 unbeaten league games so far this season moving top of the standings after their 1-0 win over Raja Casablanca on Sunday.

Second-placed AS FAR Rabat, who are led by Kaizer Chiefs-linked coach Nasreddine Nabi, are a point behind Raja with one game left.

Mass exodus looms at Kaizer Chiefs

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs are likely to offload up to nine players from their team this summer after a disastrous campaign in the 2023-24 DStv Premiership season.

The Glamour Boys finished outside the top eight, extending their trophyless season to nine. They won't participate in next season's MTN8 competition.

Aside from appointing a new coach, which is top on the list, the Soweto Giants are reportedly set to overhaul their entire squad ahead of next season.
