Al-Hilal superstar, Neymar Junior, is on cloud nine after winning his third title of the 2023–24 season, following his side's Saudi King's Cup success on Friday night.

The Brazilian, who was Hilal's marquee signing last summer, watched what was a cagey, emotionally charged grand finale between two of the best clubs in the Gulf country.

The 32-year-old's side was on course for victory just seven minutes into the game when former Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic fired Hilal into the lead with a trademark header.

However, the pendulum swung in the second half, with Al-Nassr levelling the score in the 87th minute before the Blue Waves saw all two of their first-choice centre-backs receive red cards.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, they managed to hold on, pushing the game to extra-time and eventually penalty shootouts.

With the odds stacked against them, Jorge Jesus' men still found a way to rally from missing the initial penalty and blinking first on sudden death to seal a 5-4 victory, The National reports.

Neymar ends debut season with 3 titles

Victory in the competition means Al-Hilal completed the entire 2023–24 campaign without a loss.

Having previously won the Saudi League and Super Cup, they made sure of a clean sweep by topping up with the King's Cup, delivering three titles to Neymar in his first season with the Blue Waves.

For the Brazilian, it has been a bitter-sweet campaign, having picked up an injury on October 17, 2023, during the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup against Uruguay in Montevideo.

According to Transfermarkt, he has missed 255 days of action due to injury, playing just five matches across all competitions.

Neymar reacts after King's Cup victory

After his side's win over Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, the former Barcelona and PSG forward congratulated his teammates while vowing to stay fit to help the team next season.

"✋🏽😜🤚🏽 …. Meanwhile, we add +1 🏆🥇," he wrote in Portuguese as translated in English on X.
"Congratulations on an incredible year, team. You were awesome, and today you outdid yourself once again!"
"Thanks for the titles this year. Next season, leave it to me 😜. Let's go, Hilali. This year Saudi is BLUE 💙🤍 "

Neymar appears to mock Ronaldo

In a related publication, Sports Brief reported that in a video making the rounds on the internet, Neymar appeared to join some Al-Hilal fans in mocking Cristiano Ronaldo.

The fans, alongside the former PSG talisman, chanted Lionel Messi's name in the stands in a bid to incense CR7.
