Players who need PSL move this summer

1. Keagan Dolly

Dolly struggled with injuries for most of the season and could only play in eight games for the Kaizer Chiefs.

The South African midfielder is the highest-paid player in the PSL, but his contract with Amakhosi will expire at the end of June. He needs a summer move to a club that he would be used constantly after beating off his injury issues.

2. Rushwin Dortley

Dortley is one of the youngsters who emerged during the 2023-24 DStv Premiership season, but, unfortunately, his performance could not keep Cape Town Spurs in the top-flight league.

The Urban Warriors were relegated to the second tier, but Dortley deserves to stay in the top division.

The versatile defender, who is 21 years old, has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs. However, the Soweto-based club has yet to submit an official bid for the player.

3. Lesedi Kapinga

Kapinga played only 11 games [mostly as a substitute] for the Pirates this season, as Riviero preferred Monnapule Saleng, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Kabelo Dlamini in attack.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns needs to find a new club in the summer to earn more playing time.

4. Ashley Cupido

Cupido is another Cape Town Spurs player who deserves a summer move to a big club in the DStv Premiership.

The 23-year-old needs to play alongside quality players to bring out his best. A summer move to Stellenbosch FC or Cape Town City would make more sense.

5. Zakhele Lepasa

The 2023-24 campaign was a season to forget for Lepasa, as he could not maintain the momentum at which he started.

The South African forward was impressive at the start of the season, scoring many goals, but after dipping in form, he lost his place to Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa.

The 27-year-old confirmed he's open to leaving the Buccaneers in the summer and needs it at a point where he cannot displace in-form Mabasa from the starting lineup.

Mass exodus looms at Kaizer Chiefs

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs are likely to offload up to nine players from their team this summer after a disastrous campaign in the 2023-24 DStv Premiership season.

The Glamour Boys finished outside the top eight, extending their trophyless season to nine. They won't participate in next season's MTN8 competition.
