Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, is set to be appointed the new manager of Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce after parting ways with AS Roma.

The former Real Madrid manager will be heading to Turkey after failing to land one of the top jobs in Europe.

The 61-year-old is known to enjoy working with African players during his illustrious coaching career and will continue that legacy at Fenerbahce.

Sports Brief lists the African players Mourinho could work with while coaching the Yellow Canaries.

African players in Fenerbahce

1. Bright Osayi-Samuel (Nigeria)

The Nigerian fullback was one of the important players in Fenerbahce's squad during the just-concluded season, and he could continue his stellar performance under Mourinho next campaign.

Mourinho would like Osayi-Samuel because he's a versatile player who could play as a right-back, right-wing back, or right-winger.

2. Omar Fayed (Egypt)

Fayed is yet to break into Fenerbahce's first team and spent most of this season on loan at Serbian side Novi Pazar.

The Egypt under-23 international will have the opportunity to break into the club's starting lineup with a new manager coming in.

3. Alexander Djiku (Ghana)

The Ghanaian international joined the Turkish giants last summer from Strasbourg and made an immediate impact on the team.

The Black Stars defender made 36 appearances this season, scoring two goals in the Super Lig.

Osayi-Samuel recounts Trabzonspor's ordeal

Sports Brief previously reported that Osayi-Samuel narrated all that transpired shortly after Fenerbahce beat Trabzonspor right inside the Akyazı Stadium on March 17.

A number of the home team supporters invaded the pitch in their bid to attack the visiting players who celebrated their win.
