He left Amakhosi in 2022 for Macarthur FC, the same club from which he is alleged to have received payments from team captain, Ulises Davila.

According to a report by Supersport, the skipper allegedly paid Baccus to force yellow card bookings in games played in the 2023–24 A-League.

The report further confirmed that the former Amakhosi star has appeared in a Sydney court recently, with the case adjourned to June 24.

The reports about Baccus' alleged involvement in a match-fixing scandal sparked different reactions from fans on social media.
