The former Atletico Madrid star started just nine games during the just-concluded campaign, and injuries kept him sidelined.
Partey makes decision on Arsenal future
Despite his situation at the Emirates Stadium, the Ghanaian is said to be keen to continue at the club beyond this season.
The 30-year-old is believed to be keen to see out the final year of his contract at the club.
Interestingly, it is reported that Arsenal have not entered discussions with Partey over a contract extension.
Football London claims that Newcastle United ace Bruno Guimares remains top on the Gunners' transfer wishlist for the central midfield role.
Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi has also been linked with a possible move, and Arteta is adamant about strengthening his midfield options.
Meanwhile, Partey has since been recalled to the Ghana squad ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June.
