Junior Khanye has officially named his DStv Premiership Team of the Season.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs star often shares his thoughts on the current state of football in the country, as well as his former side.
With the 2023/24 league season officially done and dusted, Khanye has chosen his Team of the Season, and there’s no surprise that Mamelodi Sundowns stars dominated the team.

Goalkeeper: Ronwen Williams

Williams has been in impeccable form once again this season.
Transfermarkt noted that the Sundowns star made 22 appearances in the league, kept 15 clean sheets, and only conceded eight times.
Right-back: Khuliso Mudau
Mudau may have picked up seven yellow cards in 14 games in the league, but he’s continued to prove why he’s valuable for the reigning champions.
Mudua’s marauding runs down the right flank have become a trademark for Sundowns over the season.
Centre-back: Ismaël Olivier Touré
The only Stellenbosch FC player in the squad, Touré has been placed in the heart of defence by Khanye.
The Ivory Coast national has made 26 appearances in the league and has built a reputation as a no-nonsense defender.
Centre-back: Grant Kekana
The 31-year-old is a defender who knows how to keep out goals and how to score goals.
The Sundowns centre-back has made 17 appearances in the league, scoring three and helping the team, which has only conceded 11 goals in 30 games.

FootballLeft-back: Aubrey Modiba
Nicknamed The Postman because he always delivers, Modiba once again lived up to his moniker.
The 28-year-old hasn’t just been a standout performer for his club but also for his country.
Central Midfield: Marcelo Allende
Allende is the most valuable player in the league, and it’s easy to see why.
The attacking midfielder has been an influential performer for the Brazilians this season, scoring two goals and notching up three assists in the 18 games he has played.
Central Midfield: Teboho Mokoena
Partnering with Allende in midfield, Khanye opted for his Sundowns teammate, Mokoena.
Soccer Laduma reported that the 27-year-old has been stellar for club and country and has attracted interest from France and England as a result.
Central Attacking Midfield: Patrick Maswanganyi
Maswanganyi has enjoyed success this season with Orlando Pirates, scoring five and assisting five in 27 league games.
The 26-year-old was also voted the Transfermarkt DStv Premiership Player of the Season by fans.

FootballRight Wing: Lucas Ribeiro
At first, Khanye struggled to find a suitable right-winger but settled on Ribeiro for his ability to cut in.
The Brazilian scored 12 goals in 18 games in his debut season for the reigning champions.
Left Wing: Relebohile Mofokeng
One of the most impressive players this season has been 19-year-old Mofokeng.
The youngster came through the Pirates’ DStv Diski Challenge side, scored three goals, and set up five in his debut campaign.
Forward - Tshegofatso Mabasa
What a season it has been for Mabasa.
The Pirates star won the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award for his 16 goals and earned himself interest from Europe for his performances.
Khanye believes Chiefs disrespected Khune
Goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, recently celebrated 25 years as part of the Chiefs franchise.
While the club honoured him during the last game, turnout was poor, Sports Brief reported.
Khanye expressed his disappointment with what he termed as ‘disrespect’ shown to Khune.
