Senegal and Morocco goalkeepers, Edouard Mendy and Yassine Bounou ended their first season in the Saudi Pro League as the shot-stoppers with the most clean sheets.
The African duo impressed in their first campaign with Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, with Bounou winning the league title with the latter.
Mendy and Bounou kept 15 clean sheets at the end of the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season, according to the SPL.

While both goalkeepers had the same number of clean sheets, Bounou conceded the fewest goals, only 20 as Al-Hilal had the meanest defence (23 goals conceded) in the league.
Mendy, the former Chelsea goalkeeper conceded 33in 33 matches with Al-Ahli having the third-meanest defence (35 goals conceded) and are tied with Al-Tawoun.
Only Al-Ittihad (34) and Al-Hilal (23) have conceded less than Al-Ahli, who also finished the season in third place, as reported by Wiwsport.
It was a decent first season for the Senegalese goalkeeper, who had to leave England after losing his place in the team.
Meanwhile, Bounou decided to leave Europe after winning the Europa League with Sevilla.
Bounou wins SPL title with Al-Hilal
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Yassine Bounou have won the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal.
The African duo played a pivotal role as the Saudi giants won the league without losing a game in 34 matches, securing 96 points.

Mendy yet to report to Senegal camp for qualifiers
Sports Brief also reported that Saudi-based goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is among six players yet to report to the Senegal camp ahead of June's World Cup qualifiers.
However, Chelsea forward, Nicolas Jackson has arrived in Senegal for early preparations alongside 18 other teammates.
The former African champions opened camp on Monday, May 27, 2024, and will face DR Congo and Mauritania in the qualifiers on June 6 and 9th respectively.
